So Today I Went To My GP Regarding My Weight...

For all the years I have been trying (and failing) to lose weight, I've never been to my GP about it - even though most meal plan/diet plan recommend you to do so. I've just always thought, I know what to do so what's the point - applying it and being consistent is my problem.

Anyway, I thought this time I'll do this properly.....

She weighed me, I weighed 104.9 kg (230.7 lbs or 16st 6lbs approx....* I literally let out a loud sigh after typing that figure*), she measured my waist and she checked my blood pressure which was normal.

Tomorrow or Thursday I'm due to do a blood test to check for diabetes, thyroid problems etc. There is no sign that I have any of the above problems but she needs to rule out the obvious worries.

Anywhoo, I have to see her every two weeks which I'm dreading. Why am I dreading it when I planned to lose weight anyway? Well I had to ask myself that question today and I wondered if I was really going to give my all if I'm now feeling sick at the thought of not meeting my weight loss targets with her. I think having someone to make me accountable will really help.....hopefully.

She seems nice; when she asked me my goal weight I told her about 70kg, she  told me to set smaller goals first (which I was planning to do anyway). She's of Asian descent and she was telling me about the health problems that's crippling the Black and Asian communities due largely to our diet.

Oh, I also have to keep a food diary which I will print out to give to her when I next see her in two weeks; hopefully I'll be 6lbs down... yikes!
